Dane’s Crawfish and More opened in Kirbyville in 2020, in a big garage on South Margaret Avenue that got a coat of red paint, a row of banners, and a pot big enough to boil for a crowd. The first orders went out through a drive-thru window.
The menu grew with the people who came back: boiled crawfish when they’re running, snow crab and boiled shrimp by the market, and a fryer full of catfish, shrimp, oysters and frog legs. Then po’boys, gumbo, etouffee, swamp fries, burgers and chicken strips for the folks who came along for the ride.
